New entry point to electric Audi e-tron leasing

New Launches

It's time to sort out the lease for your next new car. You've got your budget, but what do you choose? If your budget ends in a long string of noughts this won't be an issue, but for the rest of us it's all too familiar.

You could go for power and performance but you'll probably have to sacrifice some specification. You could go for a higher specification but then you might have to give up on the exclusive badge you want. You could go for the luxury you fancy but you probably won't get the power usually associated with it. Trying to find a balance between power, luxury, specification, and the right brand leaves us facing some tough choices.

How many of you are now thinking the next line is, "....until now!!!"?

Well, you'd be right.

The brand new Audi e-tron 50 Quattro is designed specifically to bridge that gap and make all of those tough choices a little bit simpler. How do we know? Audi said so. The very first line of the official communication states the "new entry-level e-tron will offer characteristic high efficiency and strong performance at a new price point." In other words, here's a car that offers good performance, a fabulous interior, plenty of specification, and sports a pretty distinguished badge.

On the inside it will be very hard to tell the difference between the new e-tron 50 and the bigger 55. In fact, as far as we can tell there really isn't much difference at all. As with all Audis the interior will be beautifully finished, tastefully understated and incredibly comfortable, and with the usual array of touchscreen controls like Audi's excellent virtual cockpit display, driver aids, and assorted other bells and whistles it ticks the specification box too.

On the road the Audi e-tron 50 offers efficiency and instant performance from the two electric motors. Like its larger sibling you get a motor on each axle that means the e-tron is all-wheel drive for improved grip and control. The two motors combine to give a power output of 230kW, the electric equivalent of just over 300bhp, so while it may not be quite as powerful as the bigger version with 400bhp, it's not exactly lacking. The e-tron 50 may be a five door SUV with lots of space but it can still hit the 60mph mark in just 7 seconds, and although the top speed is limited to just 118mph that doesn't really matter. It's the ability to overtake that counts and the Audi can certainly do that.

Not only do you get the power, luxury and desirable badge, you also get drastically reduced running costs thanks to the efficient electric motors. The 71kWh battery pack offers a range of around 180 miles and can be charged to 80% in around 30 mins using a fast-charge point. It can also be charged at home at a slower rate but that's enough to keep the battery topped and ready for the morning. The Audi e-tron 50 also uses an energy recovery system to recuperate energy as you brake to ensure the battery stays at its highest possible level.

Seriously. If you're looking to lease your next car and you can't decide which aspects you want to compromise on, just don't bother. Give us a call and let us know which particular colour you'd like your Audi e-tron 50 to be. After all, that's the only real choice you're going to have to make.
