The Polestar 3 has been showcased publicly for the first time - albeit in camouflage - at a press and investors event held in New York.

Set to be built in the US at Volvo's Charleston plant in South Carolina, the Polestar 3 will be produced alongside the next-generation Volvo XC90.

As the electrified performance brand for Volvo, Polestar will build on the currently available all-electric 2 fastback and 1 coupe.

It will also be the first of three new pure-electric models to arrive, as Polestar announced plans to launch one new model each year for the next three years.

Details are yet to be announced, but expectations are that it will at least broadly follow the structure established on the Polestar 2 with two- and all-wheel drive variants available, plus a choice of Standard Range or Long Range battery packs.

What is confirmed is that Polestar will build hardware into the 3 that allows for semi- or fully-autonomous driving (where laws allow), with powerful Nvidia chips and LiDAR sensors to detect the road ahead.

If the Polestar sounds right for you, then we have plenty of business contract hire leases for business drivers and fleets that can put you in the Polestar electric performance brand.
