MG Motors has revealed a refreshed version of one of its best-selling models, the all-electric ZS EV. Featuring a new design and improved equipment, perhaps the most significant change is a significant improvement in driving range - more than 100 miles on a charge - which will appeal to business drivers considering an electric car.

The most obvious alteration comes with the exterior, as MG has dramatically altered the front end, removing the previous ZS EV's grille, smoothing the nose off, and sharpening up the headlights.

Inside, there is a new 10.1-inch infotainment system with new graphics and improved functionality. It also houses MG's iSmart system , allowing connected car services, viewable and controlled through a smartphone app, such as pre-conditioning and charge updates.

Two new trims are launched - SE and Trophy - with a new driver's instrument cluster fitted, and features like wireless phone charging available on the top level Trophy.

It is under the skin, though, where there real appeal lies. Now with a larger 72 kWh battery, the ZS EV's range on a single charge is improved to 273 miles - up from the existing model's 163 miles.

A shorter range model will join the line-up next year, with a 51 kWh model offering a driving range of 198 miles on a charge, coming in as the entry-level model to the ZS EV range.

The new model can be charged faster than before, with 7 kW AC charging carried over, but 76 kW DC charging allowing an ultra-rapid top-up to 80% in around 40 minutes; a full charge at home or work will take 10.5 hours.

What's more, MG ZS business leasing offers are very competitive, and with low company car tax make a credible business car choice.
