CUSTOMERS are reminded that the government's six month MOT extension , granted in response to the coronavirus pandemic, will come to an end on 31 July 2020.

Therefore all MOTs that are due from 01 August 2020 onwards will require the car to be given an MOT as normal to remain legal.

This is important for customers on a four-year lease rental period or for customers who have requested an extension on their existing lease beyond three years. An MOT is due three years from the date of first registration. You can check the MOT status of your vehicle at the government's official site .

In most cases the funder of your vehicle lease should contact you to ensure your car remains compliant. If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to contact us .

Meanwhile the six-month extension remains in place for cars or vans where the MOT expiry date falls between 30 March 2020 and 31July 2020.
