The All-New Mercedes-Benz SLC Roadster
The Mercedes-Benz SLC formally known as the SLK has adopted the brands naming scheme with its close ties to the C-Class range.
Styling changes include a new front bumper which holds larger ducts on the bumper that are used to improve the engines cooling bay. The grille has also been updated and features Mercedes latest diamond-shaped logo design. The headlights are integrated with LED daytime running lights as well as being automatic.
The hard-top now operates up to 25mph allowing the driver to open and close the roof when setting off. The new model now comes with remote boot lid release, making it easier to open the boot when hands are full.
The new SLC retains the same dashboard as it's SLK predecessor but benefits from a larger information monitor, a new three-spoke steering wheel, revised instruments and applications.
Standard safety equipment still plays a major role within the new model and includes features such as Attention Assist - alerting the driver to take regular breaks and detecting signs of fatigue, Active Bonnet - protects pedestrians in the event of a crash or collision by raising the bonnet and Active Braking Assist - autonomous braking thanks to it's collision prevention system.
There are two 2.0 liter petrol engines in the line up, the SLC200 available in both manual and automatic and the SLC300 automatic. There is only one diesel offering - the SLC250d available in automatic transmission only.
The top spec SLC is the SLC43, a 3.0 liter, nine-speed 9G-tronic automatic, which has a brake horse speed power of 362.
