The All-New Nissan Micra

 Published 7th November 2016
New Launches

Nissan revealed earlier this year that it will be launching the 5th generation Nissan Micra which is due to go on sale next month with first deliveries expected to take place in early 2017.

The new Nissan Micra will be on a brand new, larger platform which will replace the old model as well as the Nissan Note. Nissan's goal is to rival the popular Ford Fiesta.

Changes include a significantly wider and longer body with swept-back headlights and hidden rear door handles. Inside seats, pedals and controls have been repositioned to provide a lower and sportier driving position which will also improve driver involvement. Also the cabin space is much larger.

Nissan are known for their advanced safety technology and this is something that certainly hasn't been forgotten in the new Micra. Safety functions include high beam assist, blind spot warning, Around View Monitor and traffic sign recognition as well as autonomous braking with Pedestrian Detection which is a first for Nissan in Europe.

We will bring you further details about engines, trim levels, standard specifications and equipment over the up and coming months.
