Drive a Maserati on the company

 Published 17th March 2020

HAVE we gone bonkers? A Maserati? As a company car? Surely, surely not…

Aha, but wait: Maserati isn't all growling V8s. It's changing its tune with an electrification strategy that starts with the Ghibli, an executive rival to cars such as the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class and Audi A6.

The great Modena car company has revealed that a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of its Ghibli saloon will start production this year, so we can't let you know about Maserati Ghibli PHEV lease deals just yet.

There's no firm details released about the Ghibli PHEV, but assuming it has the ultra low emissions it will need to be competitive, it will have great appeal to business owners.

Cars that have CO2 emissions below 50g/km and have an electric-only mileage capability are highly beneficial to company car drivers from April 2020. So expect the Ghibli to slot into the 10%-12% company car tax scale.

Which means you could drive a Mazzer on the business. How good is that?
