10 new cars to lease in 2026

Published 2nd January 2026

2025 has been a busy year for everyone. There's been an endless stream of new brands and new models entering the UK market, a host of updates and improvements to countless others we already know and love, and in our case, we’ve helped many of you through the leasing process so you can concentrate on simply enjoying your new car. With the year now having drawn to a close, it’s time to start thinking about an equally busy 2026 and some of the new cars it will bring.

If you’re going to be one of the many people looking to lease a new car in 2026, the following list isn’t even close to exhaustive, but it might give you a few ideas when it comes to choosing your next set of wheels.

2026 will see the launch of a wide range of highly anticipated new cars. Expect a further push towards electrification with lots of new all-electric and hybrid models from many of the major brands, including new and more affordable models aimed at broadening the EV market for even more drivers. SUV and Crossover models are still likely to dominate as their popularity continues to hold, but don’t rule out a few surprises here and there as the year progresses.

From budget-friendly city cars to powerful performance models and rugged SUVs, here are just a few of the new cars coming to the UK in 2026...

Renault Twingo

Renault Twingo

Renault has gone a bit retro recently. We’ve seen the return of classic names such as the Renault 5 and iconic Renault 4, highlighting an electrification strategy that seems to be a clever combination of the latest technology coupled with familiar names from the brand’s illustrious history. The latest addition to Renault’s retro-inspired EV line-up is the all-new Twingo.

Capturing the spirit of the first-generation icon, the new Twingo E-Tech electric brings together cheeky design, clever practicality, and zero-emission performance. It features a bright interior, advanced connected technology, and the model range includes a choice of powertrains, including Renault’s innovative full hybrid. The well-equipped three-model line-up is also affordable with prices starting from under £20k.

BMW iX3

BMW iX3

The new BMW iX3 will be the first model to follow BMW’s new ‘Neue Klasse’ design. It offers the latest design and technological innovations and will shape BMW’s entire model range moving forwards – at present, that represents a total of 40 new models and model updates between now and 2027.

When it goes on sale in April, the new BMW iX3 will be the longest-range electric car on the market, with an official range of 500 miles from a single charge. The new iX3 also has a computer system that’s 10 times faster than in most modern cars. This is BMW starting again from the ground up - new battery tech, new software, the lot – and the results promise to be utterly spectacular.

Our lease deals for the BMW iX3 can be found here.

VW ID Polo

Volkswagen ID. Polo

Based on the ID 2all concept that was shown in 2023, this electric hatchback is the first VW model to use an all-new platform designed specifically for small electric cars. It may be half a century since we were first introduced to the Polo name, but with the ID. Polo, Volkswagen is focusing on those same familiar strengths of quality, practicality, and affordability.

At launch, the ID. Polo will be available with three powertrain options and two battery sizes, offering a range of up to 280 miles depending on configuration. Volkswagen has also confirmed a GTI variant – the first time VW Group has used the famous three-letter moniker on an EV – which will generate around 220bhp.

When it becomes available, the ID. Polo can be leased from us here.

Denza Z9 GT

Denza Z9 GT

Denza is the premium badge from Chinese giant BYD, and it will launch in Europe early next year. It aims to bring up to six new models to Europe, including SUV options. That launch is being spearheaded by the flagship Denza Z9 GT, offering an alternative to premium models from the likes of Mercedes and Porsche.

Denza will be making the Z9 GT available with both all-electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains, although full UK specifications haven’t been revealed yet. From what we do know, the hybrid version will produce around 850bhp from its 2.0-litre engine and twin electric motors, hit 60mph in 3.5 seconds, and have an electric-only range of 125 miles. The fully electric model goes even further, producing more than 930bhp and offering a range that should easily exceed 350 miles.

Jeep Compass

Jeep Compass

The third generation of the Jeep Compass is closely related to models from other Stellantis-owned brands but sits higher for better ground clearance and has shorter overhangs, helping it to tackle steeper slopes. In other words, it’s a family SUV with proper off-road credentials.

The new Jeep Compass is more capable, more versatile, and more advanced than ever before. It’s also the first Jeep to be offered with mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric variants. The e-Hybrid delivers 145bhp through a 48V system, while the EV version offers 213bhp, 345 Nm torque, and a range of up to 310 miles.

You can lease the new Jeep Compass here.

Omoda 7

Omoda 7

2025 was a good year for Omoda. Alongside sister brand, Jaecoo, its sales figures are growing at pace across the UK and Europe. The brand will be hoping to continue that success with the launch of the Omoda 7 in the new year.

As its name suggests, the Omoda 7 will sit between the Omoda 5 and Omoda 9 in the brand’s SUV lineup. That puts it squarely into the family SUV segment of the market where it will take on the likes of Hyundai and MG. You can expect it to be packed full of the technology required to compete with its rivals, and it might even offer a little more practicality than some in terms of interior space. Hybrid variants combine a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and e-motor into a very competitive package, offering a total range of more than 700 miles on a full fuel tank, including around 50 miles in electric-only mode.

You can lease the Omoda 7 from us here.

Porsche Cayenne EV

Porsche Cayenne EV

The all-new, all-electric Porsche Cayenne will be joining its petrol sibling in 2026, marking the next step in Porsche’s electrification journey. Based on the same underpinnings as the electric Macan but with added size and space, the all-electric Cayenne SUV range will initially comprise of two models: the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric – both with all-wheel drive.

The Cayenne Electric’s comfortable interior is luxurious and packed full of the latest technology, underpinned by Porsche engineering and active suspension to smooth out the bumps. Expect ultra-fast charging up to 400kW, and a range of almost 400 miles – and if you opt for the optional extra, the Cayenne Electric is also the first Porsche to support inductive charging just like a wireless phone charger...only, with a much larger charging plate required for a car. There’s also the small matter of 850bhp, 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds, and a 160mph top speed to take into consideration.

You can lease the all-new Porsche Cayenne Electric from us here.

Volvo EX60

Volvo EX60

Based on new underpinnings, the Volvo EX60 is an all-electric alternative to Volvo’s mid-size XC60 SUV. It’s not due to be unveiled until January, so details are still a bit of a secret, but Volvo has confirmed it will be built on a new EV platform and will deliver more range than any other Volvo. If that’s the case, you can expect to see ranges easily in excess of 400 miles, possibly even starting to approach 500 miles from a single charge.

A rival to the Audi and BMW, the Volvo EX60 will likely be very close to the XC60 in terms of overall styling, albeit with some model-specific changes to make it stand apart from its combustion-powered sibling. It's a safe bet that the interior will be stylish and comfortable, and it’s likely to include a lot of the technology found in other models. You can probably expect a 14.5-inch infotainment system with Google built-in, and Volvo’s head-up display amongst the features.

Jaguar's future

This time last year, Jaguar unveiled its new identity with the Thunderbirds-esque Type 00 Concept. To say it was controversial would be an understatement, but the real test will be when that concept becomes reality, and that will happen in 2026.

Jaguar is preparing to launch three brand-new electric cars aimed at the higher end of the market, starting with a four-door GT that is currently undergoing final testing ahead of production, having spent the last year out of the market. Obviously, Jaguar is keeping the details under wraps, but there are a few heavily disguised images floating around the internet that suggest the final product will bear a close resemblance to that original concept. There are also suggestions of a tri-motor drivetrain developing 1000bhp, a range of around 400 miles, and a base price of at least £120,000.

Hypercar heaven

We can’t write one of these lists without being a little bit silly and suggesting you should lease a car you’ll never be able to lease. With that in mind, we thought 2026 should be the year we suggest TWO cars you’ll never be able to lease...

The spiritual successor to the F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari, if you want a hypercar with pedigree then you’ve got to get yourself the Ferrari F80.

Ferrari F80

Built to celebrate Ferrari’s 80th anniversary, and with styling inspired by the F40 that marked the brand's 40th birthday, the stunning Ferrari F80 boasts a 3.0-litre V6 engine, paired with two turbos and five electric motors. Combined power output is 1,183bhp, 0-62mph takes 2.15 seconds, and it tops out at 217mph.

Alternatively…

In terms of pedigree, the McLaren W1 can easily give the Italians a run for their money. The F1 broke more than a few moulds back in the early 1990s, and it is still regarded as arguably the greatest car ever made. That was followed by the astonishing P1 that went head-to-head with the best of both Italy and Germany. Now, the new McLaren W1 has arrived to continue the rivalry into the next generation.

McLaren W1

The McLaren W1 features a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 hybrid powertrain that sends all its 1,250bhp to the rear wheels. It hits 60mph in under 3 seconds, 120mph in less than 6 seconds, and it can also keep going to 217mph. And to stop it taking off, the F1 inspired aerodynamics can create 1,000kg of downforce at 174mph.

Yes, both cost millions of pounds. Yes, both are highly exclusive, and yes, every example in their limited production runs is already sold. But yes, we know you would if you could, because we would too...
