Facelifted Porsche Taycan revealed

 Published 18th April 2024

Porsche has given its all-electric Taycan a major update with more power, better range, faster acceleration and quicker charging.

The new model comes in saloon, hatchback and estate variants, with the entry-level Taycan featuring an 89kWh battery and a range of 367 miles. There is also a larger 105kWh battery, the Performance Battery Plus, delivering an official range of up to 421 miles.

Model options include the standard Taycan, the 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S. All updated variants accelerate faster than their predecessors, with the 0-62mph sprint dispatched in anything from 4.8 seconds to as little as 2.4 seconds.

Although all versions weigh less than the earlier model, there is more standard equipment than before, including parking assist, a reversing camera, electrically folding exterior mirrors, heated front seats, and wireless charging.

Taycan base models are now also equipped with adaptive air suspension as standard.

A new addition is the Taycan Turbo GT, which comes with an optional track focused Weissach package with racing tweaks that include removing the rear seats.

The Taycan Turbo GT reaches 62mph in just 2.3 seconds, while the Weissach version, the most powerful production Porsche of all time, hits the benchmark in 2.2 seconds. It has also set new track records at Laguna Seca and the Nürburgring.

The Taycan has been a global success for Porsche, selling 150,000 units since it launched in 2019. The updated version is available to order now through our Porsche leasing offers.
