Gateway2Lease partners with Pod to support drivers switching to electric
Published 24th July 2026
Gateway2Lease has partnered with Pod, one of the UK’s leading EV charging providers, to make home charging simpler, more affordable and more rewarding for customers choosing an electric vehicle. The partnership brings together our growing EV leasing offering with Pod’s proven expertise in home charging, creating a seamless experience for drivers making the switch.
Pod has been at the forefront of the UK’s EV movement since the very early days of electric motoring. Today, more than 300,000 customers rely on Pod technology to power their EV life, with over five million electric miles delivered every day.
The company’s reputation is built on award-winning hardware, long-standing heritage and a track record of reliability that gives customers confidence when they choose Pod for their home charging needs. Its mission is to build a future where clean energy is easy, affordable and rewarding for everyone.
Exclusive savings on a Pod charger
That’s a goal that aligns closely with the growing number of drivers who are making the move to an electric vehicle. And through this new partnership, Gateway2Lease customers can now access exclusive savings when arranging a Pod home charger alongside their EV lease.
Instead of arranging charging separately, you can now organise the installation of a home charger as part of the leasing process, ensuring you have everything you need from day one. It’s a simple, joined-up approach designed to remove barriers, reduce complexity and make the transition to electric driving as smooth as possible.
Drivers who choose to buy a charger outright receive a £50 discount, reducing the cost from £999 to £949. For those opting for Pod’s subscription model, the up-front fee is lowered from £99 to £49, making it even easier to get a fully installed home charger without a large initial payment.
Pod customers also benefit from Pod Rewards, a smart-charging incentive that allows drivers to earn cash every time they charge their EV using their Pod charger. Depending on usage, customers can earn up to £100 a year simply by charging at home.
In addition, Pod users gain exclusive access to Pod Power — EDF’s lowest-cost EV tariff — which offers seven hours of cheaper overnight electricity between 11pm and 6am. With predictable low-cost charging every night, you could also save up to £450 a year on home energy costs.
Gateway2Lease and Pod Point share a commitment to helping more drivers enjoy the benefits of electric vehicles.
“By combining competitive EV leasing with trusted home-charging technology, our partnership with Pod provides customers with a clear, convenient and cost-effective path into electric motoring. In addition, it provides the confidence of knowing their charging needs are taken care of from the moment their new vehicle arrives,” commented Rob Marshall, Operations Director of Gateway2Lease.
“We’re keen to remove as many obstacles to going electric as possible - and making home charging more accessible is one of those steps.”
