Audi A4 is most reliable fleet car

Fleets and businesses wanting the epitome of reliability need look no further than the German engineering offered by Audi.

For the second successive year, the Audi A4 has been named the most reliable car model by fleet leasing management companies.

The survey was conducted by industry newspaper Fleet News as part of its annual FN50 round up of the largest leasing companies.

The mid-size saloon recorded the lowest number of mechanical breakdowns and warranty repairs among the UK's 50 largest leasing companies, and retained its number one spot from the previous year.

In total, the top six most reliable fleet cars were all German models, the BMW 3 Series coming second, ahead of the Golf and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which was not ranked last year in the top 10.

In a table of the most reliable car brands overall, Fleet News named BMW as the number one car brand.
