Unless you're terminally indecisive, more choice is usually a good thing.

Leasing your car is no different. The more choice you have, the more you'll be able to personalise your car to make sure you get all those little bells and whistles.

If you've decided to lease yourself a luxury SUV in the shape of a Lexus RX you'll be pleased to hear you've now got a bit more choice. The range has now been extended with the introduction of the F Sport Design trim for both the RX 350h hybrid and RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid electric models. As the name suggests, the new trim option takes the powerful styling details from the F Sport model and adds a little SUV twist.

Previously reserved for the range-topping RX 500h, Lexus is now offering the stylish F Sport Design across the entire range of its fifth-generation SUV models.

It is now available for the RX 350h hybrid and RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid electric models. You can specify the distinctive F Sport mesh grille and rear bumper, plus black door mirror casings and roof rails. Distinctive variations on the latest RX F Sport models also include silver inserts in the door mirrors, dark grey front and rear lower bumpers, a gloss black finish for the 21-inch alloy wheels, and all-silver F Sport badges. Exterior colour options also include the model-exclusive F Sport White and a special paint finish - Azure.

In other respects, the F Sport Design mirrors the RX's mid-range Premium Plus specification.

That means you'll get smooth leather upholstery with a choice of Black, Hazel, Ammonite Sand and Dark Sepia shades, each one complemented with black trim inlays. Driver and passengers can also create a cabin to suit their mood with an ambient lighting system with 64 different colour settings, all whilst sitting comfortably in power-adjustable front seats with integrated heating and ventilation.

Standard features of the new F Sport Design models include lots of the latest technology found in the Premium Plus package too.

LED headlights with Automatic High Beam, Lexus Link Pro multimedia with 14-inch touchscreen featuring Five USB ports and 12-speaker audio system, wireless phone charging, rear privacy glass, powered tailgate with kick sensor for automatic opening, head-up display, and an optional panoramic roof also feature. There's also a whole host of safety features and sensors to help keep you safe on the road.

If you're looking for a luxuriously sporty SUV the only real choice you'll have to make is whether to opt for the plug-in hybrid or hybrid engine/battery option.

The RX 450h+ is the first plug-in hybrid electric RX and combines the 2.5-litre engine with the electric motor to produce around 300bhp. That will give you lots of fuel economy (somewhere north of 235mpg), an electric-only driving range of around 40 miles, low CO2 emissions of 25-26g/km, and still being able to take you to 60mph in just over 6 seconds. The RX 450h+ is also fitted with a 6.6kw/h on-board charger so a full battery recharge can be accomplished in about two hours 45 minutes.

The new RX 350h petrol-driven hybrid uses the same 2.5-litre petrol engine but loses out in terms of power with a mere 247bhp – which is more than enough really - and 0-62mph acceleration in 7.9 seconds.

The new models are available to order now with customer deliveries expected to commence sometime in October. Which means you've timed it perfectly to lease yourself something from the new Lexus RX F Sport Design range.
