More electric business choices from Mercedes with 1% company car tax

Two new variants of the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQA compact SUV will be arriving this summer. The EQA 300 4MATIC and EQA 350 4MATIC will join the existing EQA 250. Both new models feature dual motor all-wheel drive. The EQA 300 models offer a total power output of 228hp, with 292hp available from the EQA 350. Prices start from £48,495 for the 300 4MATIC and £49,995 for the 350 4MATIC. Since both models produce no tailpipe emissions, the BIK tax rate for 2021-2022 is 1%, making these vehicles ideal for business use.

Three trim levels will be available for both models:



  • AMG Line,
  • AMG Line Premium and
  • AMG Line Premium Plus.


Equipment for the AMG Line models includes: 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and AMG body styling. This includes an AMG front apron with integrated air curtain, AMG rear apron with diffuser optics, a black panel radiator grille, with twin blade design in chrome and illuminated door sills. AMG Premium includes 19-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels, electric panoramic glass sunroof, Keyless-Go Comfort package, navigation system with augmented reality, advanced sound system and compatible smartphone wireless charging.

Opt for AMG Premium Plus and the package includes 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, a parking package with 360° camera, electrically adjustable dampers, speed sensitive steering, Burmester surround sound audio, electrically adjustable front seats with memory, head-up display, and MBUX Interior Assistant with gesture control.

A 66.5kWh battery pack is provided for both models and Mercedes-Benz quotes a range of around 264 miles. Mercedes me Charge is standard for three years with discounted IONITY rapid charging for one year. A 100kW rapid charge from 10 to 80% charged should take 30 minutes.
