More muscle for Toyota Hilux pick up

New Launches

Toyota's Hilux is pretty much alright when it comes to the muscle department. But the Hilux has been working out in the gym recently, and has now pumped up the beef with a new, more powerful 2.8-litre engine to provide extra capability where you need it - under your right foot.

The new engine sits in the top-of-the-range Invincible X and Invincible Double Cab models with a choice of automatic or manual transmissions.

The 2.8-litre turbodiesel generates a really useful 500Nm of torque while power is rated at 201bhp, enabling the pick-up to knock 2.1 seconds off its 0-62mph acceleration time, compared with the 2.4-litre version.

While you now have the opportunity to travel quicker, and heave more about with all that torque, the latest Hilux maintains its one-tonne payload capacity and the ability to tow a braked load up to 3.5 tonnes.

If your business requirements need less power lifting, then the good news is the new Hilux is still available with the option of the 148bhp 2.4-litre turbodiesel unit - and the even better news is that we have a great range of leasing offers on all of them.
