Peugeot unveils new E-5008 seven seat electric SUV

Peugeot has revealed the new E-5008 – an electric SUV offering seven seats – and an official range of up to 410 miles. It arrives with two trim levels – Allure and GT.

There are three powertrains:

a single motor 73kWh battery model offering 311 miles official range;
a 98kWh single motor, long range model delivering 410 miles between charges;
and a dual motor 73kWh option that can reach 311 miles without plugging in.

The E-5008 can be fast charged at up to 160KW, replenishing the battery from 20-80% in 30 minutes.

In addition to seven seats, the new E-5008 offers 259 litres of boot space with all the seats in place, increasing to 748 litres with the third row folded and 1,815 litres with all rear seats down, which also provides a flat floor stretching two metres.

Interior features include customisable ambient lighting, and an opening panoramic glass roof, while the seats use vegan leather.

A raised head-up display and large central touchscreen are integrated into a single curved panoramic screen that stretches from the edge of the dashboard to the centre console.

The touch-sensitive panel can be programmed to show 10 of the user’s favourite functions to provide quick access. The E-5008 also features ‘OK Peugeot’, a voice-controlled assistant that can distinguish between commands made by the passenger and driver, allowing individual control of infotainment, heating, and air conditioning.

A suite of connected services can be activated through the Peugeot smartphone app, including ChatGPT. Peugeot also offers an EV trip planner, which co-ordinates journeys to take account of charging stops.

The new E-5008 will open for orders this year in the latest stage of Peugeot’s journey to becoming an electric-only brand. It will have electric versions of every model from next year.

Hybrid and plug-in variants of the 5008 are also available to lease.
