General Guides  New Launches

The new Lexus NX range is now available as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model. This is the first time Lexus has made a PHEV available in its range.

Thanks to an electric-only range of up to 47 miles in normal driving, leasing customers will be able to significantly reduce running costs, even over the conventional hybrid NX 350h. Official fuel economy is rated as highly as 313.9mpg, and CO2 emissions are as low as 20 g/km - provided the battery is kept charged.

Talking of which, these figures are so good because of the 18.1 kWh battery fitted, allowing the NX 450h+ to run in electric-only mode for up to 61 miles in city driving. Charging will take around 2.5 hours through a fast home, workplace, or public charge point.

It makes the plug-in Lexus SUV a highly attractive proposition to business users. Company car tax starts at the 8% rate with benefit in kind starting from just £814 a year.

More powerful than the NX 350h conventional hybrid, the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid produces 305bhp when the engine and motor combine, allowing for a 0-62mph time of 6.3 seconds, aided by the all-wheel drive system.

Standard equipment includes a comprehensive Lexus Safety System+ pack, with driver assist functions such as lane keep assist, and dynamic radar cruise control.

The Lexus Link Connect infotainment system with navigation and 10-speaker audio set-up, as well as Apple CarPlay / Android Auto is fitted, and this can be upgraded to a Mark Levinson premium system on higher trim levels. Dual-zone climate control, automatic wipers and lights, push-button start, and heated front seats are all included too. The Lexus NX range has also been given a five-star rating by independent safety experts Euro NCAP.

If you like the sound of one of these for your next company car then we have some attractive leasing deals on the Lexus NX 450h+ range.
