Latest Range Rover Sport gets hybrid treatment

What better way to celebrate 50 years of the iconic Range Rover than lease a brand new one?

No we can't think of a better way either.

And what better than Land Rover's most dynamic model in the line up, but the Ranger Rove t Sport, which has just gained a new range of powerful but efficient diesel engines.

While the Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid P400e model is still available - with this car you can travel for 25 miles in full electric mode with zero tailpipe emissions - Land Rover has added two more hybrid models to the range featuring 48v mild hybrid technology applied to the in-line six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engines.

There's the new D300 model with 300PS and a healthy 650Nm of torque, or the sportier D350 model with 350PS and 700Nm of torque.

Land Rover tells us that the new engines promise a smoother and more refined driving experience, offering the performance of a V8 but with the lighter weight and efficiency of a straight six. The new Ingenium diesels have also passed the most stringent Euro 6 emission standards, known as RDE2, to help tackle the issue of local NOx pollution.

While the new engines are more efficient they are still devastatingly capable, the new D350 diesel, for instance, powering the luxury performance SUV from 0-60mph in just 6.5 seconds.

It's also worth looking out for the new feature-packed HSE Dynamic Black, which joins the range. Based on the HSE Dynamic, the new model features an exterior Black Pack, giving the Range Rover Sport extra road presence with matching 21-inch Gloss Black alloy wheels, Privacy Glass and 22 inch wheels as standard on the D300. You will also find a fixed panoramic roof, Ebony Premium Headlining and Meridian Surround Sound System as standard. Of course, you don't have to choose the HSE Dynamic Black model to celebrate the Range Rover's 50th birthday, because we have some brilliant lease deals on a variety of Range Rover Sport models you can choose from.
