It's nearly time for that brilliant rugby festival that is the Guinness Six Nations. But with the first matches fast approaching, fans will be keen to find affordable car parking when visiting Twickenham, Murrayfield, and the Principality Stadium.

Spend less on parking and there's more to spend on drinks and food during the matches.

And here's how you can do it. By booking an empty driveway through YourParkingSpace.co.uk , supporters could prop up their spending money by saving more than two thirds in parking fees, compared with an official stadium car park.

For example, official stadium parking for the England vs Wales game on Sunday 26 February costs £35. However, spaces only a five-minute walk from Twickenham on the YourParkingSpace.co.uk website can be found for less than £12.

Expand the walking distance to the same time as the sin-bin, and parking for three hours within 10 minutes' walk from the home of England Rugby can be had for less than £8.

Similar deals can be found in Cardiff and Edinburgh, with driveway parking for £7 within a five-minute walk of the Principality Stadium for Wales' game against France, compared with £19 for an official car park spot.

The Calcutta Cup clash in Edinburgh will see fans pay just £5 for driveway parking, compared to £30 for official parking for the Scotland vs England game.

“Rented driveways can offer a viable cost-effective alternative to traditional car parks when visiting big sporting events such as the Guinness Six Nations, meaning fans can leave the players to take the big hits, not their wallets,” said Harrison Wood, CEO at YourParkingSpace.co.uk.

Those living near the stadiums can rent out their available driveways, collecting income that would otherwise be wasted, and help supporters wing their way to the stands, avoid the scrum of heavy traffic, and tackle high parking prices.
