The new Frontera will join the Vauxhall line-up this summer, 20 years after the original was last on sale, with powertrains, style and comfort brought bang up to date.

It will be offered in petrol-hybrid and electric powertrain variants.

The Frontera Electric can be ordered in two versions with a range of 186 miles or 248 miles.

A petrol-powered hybrid combines either a 100PS or 136PS 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 21kW (28hp) electric motor and electrified six-speed dual clutch transmission.

Inside, the Frontera features a newly designed steering wheel and two 10-inch digital screens, as well as physical buttons for key functions.

Practical features include wireless smartphone connectivity, along with two USB ports both front and rear.

There is more than 450 litres of luggage space with the seats up and 1,600 litres with both of the rear seats down.

New Frontera can also be ordered with a specially designed roof tent and ladder to reflect its SUV heritage.

The trim line-up will mirror the current Vauxhall range with Design, GS and Ultimate versions.

With the arrival of Frontera Electric and the new Grandland Electric, Vauxhall will offer a fully electric version of every car and van model by the end of this year.
