MG4 EV Urban expands MG’s affordable electric offering for business and fleet users

MG has expanded its electric car line-up with the introduction of the new MG4 EV Urban, a lower-cost, family-sized electric hatchback designed to widen access to EV adoption for business and private users alike.

The MG4 EV Urban sits alongside an updated MG4 EV range for 2026 and is positioned as a practical, value-focused option for drivers seeking predictable costs and competitive list pricing. Entry-level pricing starts from £23,495 for the Comfort Standard Range, rising to £27,995 for the Premium Long Range, making it one of the most affordable new electric cars currently available in the UK.

For fleet and salary sacrifice users, the MG4 EV Urban combines low upfront cost with strong space efficiency and a full electric drivetrain, helping businesses reduce whole-life costs while supporting emissions targets. MG highlights the model’s class-leading interior space for its size, reinforcing its suitability for everyday commuting and mixed business use.

Urban heralds a sharpened MG4 line up

Alongside the Urban model, MG has refreshed the wider MG4 EV line-up for the 2026 model year. Updates focus on improved interior quality, enhanced technology and increased driving range, while pricing has been reduced on several variants. The Premium Long Range now starts from £29,995, representing a £2,750 reduction compared with the outgoing model, while the Premium Extended Range offers up to 338 miles of WLTP range from £32,995.

At the top of the range, the dual-motor MG4 EV XPOWER remains available from £33,995, delivering 320kW of power for drivers prioritising performance, although MG continues to position value and accessibility as the core strengths of the MG4 range.

All MG4 EV Urban and MG4 EV models are supported by MG’s seven-year, 80,000-mile warranty.
