Kia revises EV6 GT with greater range, faster charging

Published 7th July 2025

Kia has revised its smart EV6 GT with a mid-life update that provides greater range and faster charging.

Equipped with ultra-fast 800V charging technology, it can now replenish its battery quicker (10-to-80% in just 18 minutes) and go further (up 16 miles) with a driving range of 279 miles thanks to a larger but lighter 84kW battery pack.

But those are not the only updates to the Kia EV6 GT. The foremost is a nearly £2,700 drop in price which will help the leasing rentals on the EV6 GT once they are released.

The revised model features a refreshed exterior design with a striking new light signature, more compliant suspension for greater comfort over longer distances, and a broader range of convenience features.

Powered by an all-wheel drive, dual-motor drivetrain, the GT produces 641bhp and 770Nm of torque – an increase of 64bhp (that’s +11%) and 30Nm (a more modest +4%) over its predecessor. It means the GT can sprint to 62mph in just 3.5 seconds.

One more reason why you can’t miss the revised car are the conspicuous neon green brake callipers front and rear, neon green piping throughout the interior, and a neon green ‘GT’ button on the steering wheel.

The new model boasts a first for Kia, the EV6 GT now features Virtual Gear Shift technology, simulating a six-speed paddle-operated transmission. When activated, this provides drivers with new visual, audible and tactile cues to make the car more engaging to drive.

The upgraded model also features an enhanced ‘GT Mode’, which sharpens up steering responses and makes available maximum power and torque.

When you want to engage the Kia in more relaxed GT driving mode, Kia’s engineers have worked on reducing noise and vibration with better sound proofing and sound absorbing tyres.

Finally, business drivers who opt for the revised Kia EV6 GT can also expect to step into a generously equipped car with just a single trim available for a 3% benefit in kind tax charge for the 25/26 financial year.

Standard paint finish is a White Pearl colourway, with four optional premium paint options to choose from: Runway Red, Midnight Black, Wolf Grey and Yacht Matt Blue.
