The Electric Car Scheme wins at the Broker News Awards

The Electric Car Scheme wins at the Broker News Awards

Published 7th May 2025

Congratulations to our partner company The Electric Car Scheme: the salary sacrifice specialist won Best Innovation In Broking for its Charge Scheme product.

Pictured above on the right is Alex Ramsay, Chief Commercial Officer of The Electric Car Scheme, with his award presented by sponsor Anthony Flack of MotorComplete at the awards ceremony held in London.

The Charge Scheme is designed to make EV charging more affordable through salary sacrifice for those drivers who do not have access to a home charger.

Employees using the Charge Scheme can save between 20% and 50% on all their charging through The Charge Scheme app and card. It’s part of The Electric Car Scheme’s aim to make driving an electric car accessible and affordable for everyone.

The judges said of the winning entry:

“The Charge Scheme is a great example of something which addresses a major concern for employees who cannot charge an EV at home by reducing the cost of public charging. The evidence of charge cost saving across the lease period provided is impressive. It is also good that joining the scheme has no set up costs and can be integrated into the salary sacrifice schemes of companies which are not clients of The Electric Car Scheme.” The win by The Electric Car Scheme makes it two in a row for Gateway2Lease and its partner companies, Gateway2Lease having won the award last year.

“Two wins in successive years for our associated companies demonstrates the depth of technological prowess we can demonstrate, all aimed at making the product, and the customer experience, first class,” commented Rob Marshall, Operations Director of Gateway2Lease. “Congratulations to The Electric Car Scheme - the award is well deserved.”
