The all-new Lexus ES 350e means business
Published 6th May 2026
The Lexus ES has always been the understated choice in the executive saloon world. The car that glides serenely past the German heavyweights with a polite nod and a whisper-quiet cabin. Now there’s a brand-new model stepping into the business-leasing arena with the sort of calm confidence that the more astute fleet managers tend to appreciate: the all-electric Lexus ES 350e.
The new Lexus ES 350e arrives in the UK with more space, more refinement, and more luxury features than its predecessor. And with on-the-road prices starting from under £60k, it’s positioning itself as a premium company car that doesn’t need to shout to make a strong financial case.
Lexus interiors have always been a strong point, and the ES 350e continues that tradition with a cabin that feels more luxury-hotel lounge than company car.
Even the entry-level Premium grade includes a 12.3-inch driver display paired with a 14-inch Lexus Connect multimedia screen, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, front radiant heaters, a heated steering wheel, and a wireless charging pad, plus USB ports for both front and rear passengers. A 10-speaker audio system, panoramic roof, and Lexus’s usual, precise attention to detail complete a package that feels anything but “base” in day-to-day use.
Premium Plus and Takumi trim levels take things even further, with semi-aniline leather, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson system, and a head-up display appearing in the former, while the range-topping Takumi also adds reclining, heated and ventilated rear seats with ottoman-style leg rests. Those touches aren’t strictly necessary for fleet use, but they are excellent for impressing clients or transporting senior leadership in genuine comfort.
For HR teams, this level of comfort also translates into happier drivers, lower fatigue, and fewer complaints about long-distance travel. For fleets, it means a car that employees actually want to spend time in.
Even the technical specifications are business friendly.
Lexus hasn’t released the full WLTP range yet, but the new ES 350e is built around a 77kWh lithium-ion battery and a front-mounted ‘eAxle’ producing 221bhp. That’s enough for 0–62mph in eight seconds, which is perfectly adequate for motorway slip roads and business-park roundabouts. Charging performance is competitive too. Plugging into a 150kW DC fast charger, the ES can go from 10–80% in around 28 minutes, giving you predictable charging stops and minimal downtime.

The 22kW onboard AC charger is also a welcome addition, allowing a full charge in roughly four hours on a suitable workplace or domestic charger. Lexus’s battery-temperature management and pre-conditioning systems are also designed to maintain consistent performance in all weather, a subtle but important detail for fleets operating year-round.
The brand’s enviable reliability record also helps keep servicing and downtime to a minimum, giving fleet managers yet another reason to consider going down the Lexus route.
The all-new Lexus ES 350e is exactly what many business drivers have been waiting for: a premium electric saloon that prioritises comfort, quality, and efficiency over headline-grabbing performance figures. It’s quiet, luxurious, easy to live with, and in the current economic climate, fiscally responsible.
As a fully electric saloon, the ES 350e qualifies for the UK’s low BiK rates for zero-emission vehicles, making it a tax-efficient choice for company car drivers.
For higher-rate taxpayers, the monthly BiK bill will be significantly lower than an equivalent petrol or hybrid executive saloon. This also makes the Lexus ES 350e a strong candidate for salary sacrifice schemes. Lexus has that reputation for reliability and low running costs, and when combined with low BiK, the monthly net cost to employees could become very attractive.
The ES 350e isn’t trying to be the flashiest electric saloon on the market.
Instead, it focuses on the things that matter to businesses: predictable charging times, comfortable long-distance performance, and a high-quality interior that boosts driver satisfaction. It also leans on Lexus’s strong reliability reputation, which helps to keep downtime and unexpected costs under control. Combine that with low BiK rates and a premium badge that doesn’t automatically translate into a punishing tax bill, and you end up with a car that would slot neatly into any SME or corporate fleet.
For businesses looking to expand their electric offering with something dependable and upmarket, the all-new, leasing the all-electric Lexus ES 350e is going to be a very easy car to recommend.
