Skoda ups the voltage on the Elroq with new vRS model

Skoda ups the voltage on the Elroq with new vRS model

Published 2nd May 2025

Skoda knows how to make a statement: a very green sort of statement, but the sort of declaration of confidence you might expect when you debut a new model at the Milan Design Week.

That sparkling debut belonged to the vRS, the new top-end sporting model of the all-new Skoda Elroq range of compact SUVs.

The all-electric model boasts two electric motors - why not, if you’re going to be a sporting range topper? - for a 340 PS (250 kW) output and all-wheel drive for additional grippiness.

It can also sprint to 62 mph in 5.4 seconds. Not bad for a family SUV.

But being a family SUV it can also take the family for longer trips thanks to a battery range of 340 miles.

Should you need to stop to replenish the electrons, then with a fast-charging DC charger you can zap up the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in around 26 minutes.

With such sporting looks and ability, the Elroq vRS has a chassis to cope with its appearance. There is sports suspension lowered by 15 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear as standard. And a new steering set-up takes into account the specific tuning of the vRS chassis to create a sportier driving feel.

The extensive standard equipment includes LED Matrix beam headlights and LED rear lights with dynamic indicators. And should you want to relax a bit after exerting the performance dynamics of the Elroq vRS, then there’s an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with massage function which comes as part of the standard package.

We don’t have any lease prices yet for the Elroq vRS as Skoda has just finalised the pricing of the car, from £46,560 (OTR) if you're interested, but when we do you will find them with all our other Elroq leasing deals.

Skoda says first deliveries will take place this summer.
