Mazda CX-60 launched

Mazda's latest flagship SUV is now available to order, with the CX-60 SUV the Japanese manufacturer's first plug-in hybrid model.

Due to rival 4x4s such as the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe in the PHEV family SUV market, the Mazda will also feature straight-six mild-hybrid engines, though the plug-in model is likely to prove popular with fleets and company car drivers in particular.

An electric only-range of 37 miles on a charge, the CX-60 e-Skyactiv will feature attractive BIK rates thanks to CO2 emissions of 33 g/km. This is possible thanks to a 17.8 kWh battery, powering a 100 kW electric motor. Combined with the 2.5 litre four-cylinder petrol engine, the Mazda will produce a combined 327hp and 500Nm of torque.

Equipment includes Mazda's new Driver Personalisation System, which recognises the driver and automatically adjusts the seat position, steering wheel, mirrors, and head-up display, as well as audio and climate control settings. A large 12.3-inch infotainment system is included, as are digital driver's instruments, while wireless connectivity for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay is available.
