If you've been reading through our blog looking for inspiration for your next lease you may recall we recently told you about the updated Peugeot 208. Well, the news doesn't end there. If you like the idea of the small hatchback but you need a little bit more space, look no further than the equally updated Peugeot 2008 range.

Remarkably similar to the hatchback 208, the Peugeot 2008 offers the same level of practicality with a little extra space and the elevated driving position you'd expect from a crossover SUV.

Peugeot has now announced updated versions of the 2008 and e-2008

There's a new trim line-up bringing enhanced equipment levels and a few styling tweaks. And the best part is the new and improved versions will cost the same as the equivalent old versions so you can get a little bit more for the same amount of money.

The entry level 2008 trim will now be the Active Premium Plus, which features gloss black roof rails and dark tinted rear and rear side windows, complementing the gloss black strip at the rear of the car and enhancing the 2008's design.

Allure Premium models are now Allure Premium Plus, the Plus part bringing some subtle design changes such as aluminium pedals for a new interior look. Allure Premium Plus variants also gain a three-year subscription to the Connected 3D Navigation, which includes speed camera alerts and real-time traffic updates for more convenient journeys. Connected 3D Navigation system also includes European mapping, 3D city mapping and voice recognition for radio, navigation, and telephone functions.

The Peugeot 2008 range will also be available with a choice of fully electric or efficient petrol powertrains

The choice allows you to find the best option for your needs.

If you're going to opt for a petrol version the efficient 1.2-litre PureTech engine is available with either 100bhp or 130bhp. Both are available with a manual gearbox and the more powerful version can also be specified with Peugeot's clever new eight-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to the advanced petrol engines, the updated Peugeot e-2008 also gives you the chance to go zero-emissions. The fully electric version features a 50kWh battery and 100kW electric motor offering up to 214 miles of range, and the 100kW rapid charging means a 0-80% charge can be completed in just 30 minutes.

The updated range is already available to order so you don't even need to wait. If you're about to update your lease car you may as well update it with a newly updated Peugeot 2008 lease.
