Tesla Model 3 Range

As the world’s best-selling EV from 2018 to 2021, many people got behind the wheel of the Model 3 and experienced a luxurious driving experience, from fast speeds to integrated technology that would make Nikola himself blush. 2023 saw the Model 3 Long Range RWD hit the streets, and drivers could now take advantage of the long driving range of 436 mi. That’s 23 miles more than the distance from London to Glasgow!

The Model 3 comes in several variations, with the RWD version having the lowest range of 318 mi, followed by the Performance variation at 328 mi, and finally Long Range AWD (All Wheel Drive) at 390 mi on a full charge. For the Model 3 Long Range RWD, the difference in wheel size by just an inch impacts the distance you can travel, as the larger 19” wheels will have increased rolling resistance, added weight and more aerodynamic drag.

Tesla Model Y Range

Launched in 2019, the Tesla Model Y has a range of 373 mi when driving the Long Range RWD type. Even the Tesla Model Y Performance model boasts an impressive range of 319 mi, more than enough for road trips across the country. If you think that’s good, just wait for the 2025 update in March, where the Model Y is getting a face-lift, as well as its interior being kitted with rear seat touchscreens, a full-width light bar for its headlights and an increase in range for the exclusive Launch Edition at 353 mi.

Tesla Model S Hatch Range

The very first Tesla EV that went into production in 2012, and has seen two major design refreshes, the Model S Hatch comes in two current variations. The Model S Plaid has a higher acceleration of 0-60 mph in 1.99 seconds and a driving range on a full charge of 373 mi. Its dual motor sibling, while featuring a slower acceleration speed, has an outstanding driving range of 394 mi.

Both these models feature the gadgets and technology synonymous with the automobile giants, such as blind-spot warning, telescopic steering column and smart air suspension, and the hatchback design makes it a perfect car for families and commuters.

Similarly to the Model S, you can’t currently lease a Tesla Model X in the UK.

Tesla Model X Range

What is the range of a Tesla Model X? There isn’t a huge difference between the Plaid and the standard Model X, with the Plaid version having a range of 358 mi and the latter having a higher range of 358 mi.

The SUV comes with a choice of six or seven seats, as well as options for a dual motor or tri motor. The dual motor helps increase range, but the Model X Plaid features more enhanced acceleration.
