Gateway2Lease appoints financial controller as it prepares for growth

Published 14th October 2025

Car and van leasing broker Gateway2Lease has appointed Ashley Floyd to the new role of Financial Controller as the company prepares for substantial growth.

Ashley, who joined the business in June, has worked in finance for more than a decade, including senior roles in the insurance sector at Horizon (UW) and latterly at logistics, warehousing and distribution firm Stop Start Transport.

He has experience helping companies to evolve their finance function by automating processes, which can lead to rapid growth.

Ashley will play a pivotal role in transforming Gateway2Lease’s finance function with cutting-edge technology, which will give the board of directors key management information to aid their decision-making.

Rob Marshall, Operations Director of Gateway2Lease, said: “Our pricing technology for consumers and businesses is recognised as industry-leading and we want our finance function to keep pace with that. We are confident that the changes Ashley will implement will help the business to grow significantly.”

Commenting on why he chose Gateway2Lease, Ashley said: “Gateway2Lease is already a volume player in the broker market and there are exciting opportunities for further growth. I can also see similarities between the compliance rules that brokers need to follow and compliance in the insurance sector, where I worked previously.”

Above all, Ashley has welcomed the chance to join a family-owned and run company. Managing Director Kelly Marshall founded the company in 2008 with her father Alan, who is Finance Director, while her brother Rob has been with the company since 2015.

“I feel that our values are closely-aligned,” Ashley added.

Ashley’s appointment follows that of Procurement Director Felice Di Cello in 2024 as Gateway2Lease continues to strengthen the management expertise within the business.
