Toyota C-HR+ expands electric line-up with up to 378 miles of range

Toyota has unveiled the all-new C-HR+, its first fully electric version of the popular compact SUV. Set to join the line-up in early 2026, the C-HR+ marks a major step in Toyota’s electrification plan and delivers a blend of long range, sharp design and familiar practicality for company car drivers and business users.
Built on Toyota’s new E-TNGA platform, the C-HR+ will be offered with two battery sizes to suit different driving needs. The 50kWh version delivers a WLTP range of around 283 miles, while the larger 71.4kWh model extends this to up to 378 miles on a single charge. Both use front-wheel drive and a single motor producing around 150kW (201bhp), providing strong response for urban and motorway use alike.
The C-HR+ supports DC rapid charging up to 150kW, enabling a 10–80 percent charge in about 30 minutes on a suitable public charger. An 11kW onboard AC charger is fitted as standard. Toyota says the electric C-HR has been tuned specifically for European roads, with suspension, steering and noise refinement developed at its R&D centre in Belgium.

The new C-HR+ retains the coupe-style design of the existing hybrid version but with subtle EV-specific details. A closed grille, aerodynamically optimised bumpers and distinctive light signature mark it out as the all-electric model. Inside, there’s a new digital driver display, over-the-air update capability, and Toyota’s latest infotainment system with smartphone connectivity as standard.
Despite the sleek shape, boot space remains competitive at around 360 litres, while the rear seats fold flat for additional flexibility. The C-HR+ also incorporates Toyota’s latest driver assistance package, including adaptive cruise control, lane tracing and pre-collision systems.
When it arrives, the new Toyota C-HR+ will sit alongside the bZ4X in Toyota’s growing electric range. Pricing, lease rentals and final specification for UK models will be confirmed closer to launch, but the new EV aims to appeal to business drivers seeking zero-emission performance with compact SUV practicality.
