MINI One is back

MINI One is back

Published 2nd July 2026

The MINI One is officially back, re-establishing the entry point into the model range and giving the brand a more accessible starting price once again. It arrives as part of a wider set of updates for July 2026, sitting below the Cooper and Cooper S and offering a simpler, more affordable way into MINI driving. And, of course, a tempting new option for personal and business leasing.

The entry-level favourite returns with fresh style, a new 1.6-litre engine, and a choice of both 3-door and 5-door configurations. Production begins in July, with first customer deliveries expected in Q3 2026.

The revived MINI One sticks to a single Classic trim but still offers enough personalisation to feel like a proper MINI.

Standard specification includes Melting Silver paintwork, a body-coloured roof, 16-inch 4- Spoke Silver alloys, and a Black/Blue cloth interior. Drivers can upgrade to Icy Sunshine Blue or Midnight Black paint, choose a Grey/Blue interior, or opt for 17-inch 2-tone alloy wheels. There’s also a Level 1 Pack for those who want a little more tech, adding features such as a head-up display, wireless charging, and high-beam assist.

Under the bonnet sits a 1.6-litre petrol engine producing 121bhp, giving the MINI One a top speed of 127mph and a 0–62mph time of 9.3 seconds. It’s a straightforward, friendly setup that should appeal to first-time drivers and anyone who wants the traditional character without the performance focus of the Cooper models.

Petrol Paul Smith Editions join the range

Alongside the return of the MINI One, the brand is expanding its partnership with Sir Paul Smith by introducing petrol-powered Paul Smith Editions. These join the existing MINI Cooper Electric Paul Smith Edition and bring the same playful design touches to the Cooper and Cooper S in 3-door, 5-door, and Convertible form.

The exterior palette includes two edition-exclusive colours, Statement Grey and Inspired White, alongside Midnight Black. The 3-door and 5-door models can be specified with a Nottingham Green contrast roof, while the Convertible gets the option of a Union Jack soft-top. Nottingham Green detailing and mirror caps add a subtle nod to Paul Smith’s heritage.

Inside, the cabin gets a knitted dashboard, door panels and seats in Paul Smith’s signature stripe pattern. The steering wheel carries the iconic stripe too, while the door sills feature the handwritten motto “Every day is a new beginning”. A hand-drawn rabbit graphic on the front floormat completes the look.

Range-wide MINI updates for July 2026

MINI is also rolling out a series of updates across the wider model range, just to freshen it all up a little bit.

Indigo Sunset Blue becomes available across all trim levels of the MINI Cooper Electric, while Blazing Blue is now an option for all petrol-powered MINI models and the MINI Aceman in Classic and Exclusive trims. You can also specify a Piano Black grille when choosing Exclusive trim on petrol MINI Cooper models and the MINI Countryman.

Interior personalisation also expands, with Beige Vescin seats paired with black knit trim now offered on Exclusive, Sport and JCW models, and Brown Vescin available on both petrol and electric versions of the MINI Countryman in Exclusive trim.

MINI Connected, previously an optional subscription, will now be included for the first four years on all Level 2 and Level 3 cars as well. This brings real-time traffic updates, enhanced junction visualisations, 3D building mapping, and access to AirConsole games and video streaming when stationary.

Leasing a new MINI has always been one of the most cost-effective ways to enjoy the brand’s character, and the latest updates only strengthen the appeal.

Whether it’s the newly returned MINI One with its accessible pricing, the stylish Paul Smith Editions, or the wider range of refreshed models, leasing gives drivers predictable monthly costs, access to the newest tech, and the flexibility to change into the latest MINI every few years.

For many drivers, it remains the simplest and smartest way to enjoy everything the modern MINI line-up has to offer.
