Lepas reveals full pricing and specification for the new L8 premium SUV

LEPAS has confirmed full UK pricing and specification for its new L8, the large SUV that will spearhead the brand’s arrival in the UK this summer. Designed specifically for European roads and tuned for British conditions, the L8 marks the beginning of an ambitious model rollout that will soon include the smaller L6 and L4 SUVs.

With competitive pricing, a highly efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain, and an unusually generous warranty package, the Lepas L8 is clearly positioned to disrupt the mainstream premium SUV market.

The L8 will be offered in two trim levels, Essence and Elevate, with starting prices of around £35 and £38k respectively.

Essence focuses on delivering a strong blend of technology, comfort and safety, while Elevate takes the specification further with additional luxury features.

Both versions use the brand’s new Super Hybrid System, pairing a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a dedicated hybrid transmission and an 18.4kWh battery.

The result is a combined range of up to 745 miles, a pure-electric range of up to 56 miles, and CO₂ emissions of just 21g/km. For business drivers, that means ULEZ exemption, low running costs, and a powertrain that suits both short electric commutes and long motorway journeys.

Charging performance is another strong point as the L8’s battery can be DC-charged from 30% to 80% in as little as 20 minutes, making it practical for drivers who regularly cover mixed mileage. A fully electric version of the L8 will follow in 2027, giving the brand a clear path into the growing EV SUV segment.

Inside, the L8 has been designed to feel more like a living space than a traditional cabin.

The long 2,800mm wheelbase creates a genuinely spacious interior, with almost a metre of rear legroom and a panoramic sunroof that enhances the sense of openness. Both trim levels include keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, remote engine start, a large 13.2-inch central touchscreen with connected navigation, and the brand’s “Hello LEPAS” voice assistant.

Elevate models add a hands-free power tailgate, heated windscreen, power-adjustable seats with heating, cooling and massage functions, ambient lighting, and an in-car fragrance system, giving the cabin a more premium feel.

Safety has also been a major focus for LEPAS, and both trims come with the same core suite of advanced driver-assistance systems.

Autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, emergency lane-keeping and intelligent speed limit control are all standard, supported by ten airbags and a range of collision-avoidance technologies.

Elevate models add further convenience with front parking sensors, a 540-degree camera system and remote parking assist, allowing the driver to manoeuvre the vehicle from outside the car.

For a new brand entering the UK, aftersales confidence is crucial, and LEPAS has taken a strong approach. All L8 models come with a seven-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty, an eight-year/100,000-mile high-voltage battery warranty and up to seven years of RAC roadside assistance when serviced through an authorised centre. It’s a package designed to reassure early adopters and position the brand as a serious long-term contender.

For business lease customers, it’s that extra layer of confidence that comes from having one less thing to think about.

With pre-orders opening in July for leasing the L8 and first deliveries expected in September, the Lepas L8 arrives at a time when demand for electrified SUVs continues to grow. Its combination of long range, strong equipment levels and competitive pricing makes it a compelling new option for both personal and business leasing customers.

As the first of several models planned by LEPAS - part of the Chery group - the L8 sets the tone for what Lepas aims to bring to the market: distinctive design, high efficiency, and a premium feel without the premium-brand price tag.
